Endurance Granny: Focus & Passion
This is worth reading (and remembering)

Riders4Helmets.com
10 years ago, you wouldn't have caught me in a helmet. Then Cory came along and I realized I needed to set an example for my kid. I also wanted to be around to watch her grow. I still do a lot of reckless and stupid things but going without my helmet is not one of them.

PROUD Mommy!
Cory and Rocky completed their first 25 mile linited distance endurance ride. I am so proud of them both.
HERE are all the pics.
I owe Chele and Julianne BIG thank yous. I am still very new to all of this stuff. They keep me sane and point me in the right direction when I am feeling lost. I don't know that I would have the guts to try this stuff without them.

We arrived on Saturday, set up camp, and relaxed. Chele tries on Cory's new hat. |

They had a scale. We forgot to weigh before the ride. Romeo was 888, Linc was 916, and Rocky was 958 (or something like that). |
Getting the all clear |
Awards - we came in 38, 39, & 40. |
Walking back to camp. Romeo & Indy pose for us. |

Pics from the photographer on the first loop. Look at how serious Cory was. |

A perfect weekend for riding...
On Saturday, 9 of us met at the Jennings Live Oak entrance and rode the yellow loop. I believe it's around 16 miles. We walked most of the time and took a few breaks, so it took us almost 6 hours to complete.
On Sunday, Julianne, Cory, and I met at the Equestrian Center. We decided to go splorin and managed to find our way to Sal Taylor and then Diamond D. I am so excited about this. JEC is a lot closer and has nice features (like water and a washrack). To know that I can save gas and ride to other places is also a good thing.

Romeo was very interested in the cows |
Linc wanted to give this one a smooch |
Do you see him Mom? |
Rocky was bored with cow watching. |

FAT pony! |
Linc wanted to smooch him too |
